A classic Ferrari has been sold for a whopping £7 million at an auction at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in California.

The 1960 Ferrari California 250 LWB Spider Competizione version was sold to an anonymous collector. Previously it belonged to the Sherman M. Wolf collection, which bought it from the original owner in 1979.

Other Ferraris models sold at the auction included a 340 MM Spider for about £2.9 million along with a 1985 288 GTO for more than £630,000.

The Ferrari was one of the many star cars to be showcased at Pebble Beach, which also featured the McLaren X-1 and, for some lucky customers, a showcase of Bentley’s Mulsanne Convertible Concept was also there.
